Rutgers Center for Chinese Studies (RCCS) invites you to make a gift to support the research activities of our students as well as the center’s outreach to the broader informed community. More specifically, contributions to the Center Gift Fund benefit the following initiatives:
The center hopes to provide better financial support to undergraduate and graduate students by offering awards for exceptional research, including honors for outstanding theses, dissertations, and publications, as well as travel funds to facilitate student research presentations at professional conferences.
The center sees as one of its key missions a better engagement with communities beyond Rutgers on China-related research activities. All of our lecture series, including “Speaking of China” series, Graduate Student Forum, China Lunch Hour, workshops & conference, are open to public. Your generous gift can help to sustain the center’s activities and initiatives.
The center hopes to mentor and nurture a new generation of China scholars in the areas Rutgers has particular strength in, e.g., literature, religion and public health. Our goal is to recruit three postdoctoral fellows per year. Each of them will teach one course per semester, with mentors chosen from Rutgers faculty.
