Faculty Workshop Grant

Rutgers Center for Chinese Studies (RCCS) is inviting full-time faculty members at the Rutgers University, New Brunswick, to submit proposals for academic workshops in the fields of Chinese Studies to be completed by June 30, 2019.

Please submit a one-page single-spaced proposal (250-300 words) detailing the subject of the proposed conference or workshop, and the objectives and rationale for the organized event. Applications must also include the following items in their proposals (as one file in either MS Word or PDF format):

  1. A list of confirmed participants;
  2. Applicant’s curriculum vitae;
  3. An itemized budget.

Up to three (3) RCCS workshop grants (up to $5000 per grant) will be awarded. The Center strongly encourages applicants to seek other funding sources to supplement these RCCS grants, if additional funding is needed.

Conditions of Award:
Workshop grantees shall be responsible for all of the planning and logistics for organizing and executing the funded event. A report on the outcomes or impact of the funded event is due to the Center within 30 days after the conclusion of the organized event.

Review Process:
The Center’s Faculty Advisory Board will meet to review all applications in January 2018 and successful applicants will be notified of their awards soon after.
