This workshop is part of a larger research project, “Theology of Joy and the Good Life,” being carried out at Yale University. Our contribution focuses on exploring Confucian conceptions of joy and the good life as well as their critiques.

The workshop is the result of collaborations between Rutgers Center for Chinese Studies, Center for East Asian and Comparative Philosophy at City University of Hong Kong and Yale Center for Faith and Culture.
